1189 - Android Engineer

We need an English-fluent Android Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Are you the one we are looking for?

Responsibilities:

• Extending a customized Launcher in a large modular monorepo

• Building Compose UI for the home screen, widgets and new features

• Finding and fixing ANRs, crashes, slow starts and memory issues from the evidence (Perfetto, Crashlytics, Play vitals)

• Shipping features behind Remote Config and A/B tests, then acting on the results

• Contributing and maintaining the shared core library used by several apps

• Owning an app or module over time: its bugs, architecture and design

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience

• Solid Android fundamentals: lifecycles, coroutines, memory usage, process death, permission handling, Koin (or similar DI)

• Sound app architecture: MVVM with a single source of truth for state, lifecycle-aware data flow, and fixing root causes rather than layering on workarounds

• Production Jetpack Compose experience: attention to state and recomposition for performance tuning

• Effective communicator; we work with a team across time zones and release frequently

• Work with AI coding tools effectively

It's a plus:

• Launcher or system-level Android work

• Shipped a production Android app to real users and maintained it through later releases

• Firebase (Remote Config, Crashlytics, Analytics)

• Integrating ad SDKs or mediation providers

• Flutter or other cross-platform experience

Compensation:

• The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,800 - $3,500 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.

• This position is for a full time contract, through a payroll platform.

• The talent will work remotely allocated at our client.
