ABOUT THE TEAM

Basis' Product team guides the innovation and development of our comprehensive tech platform, Basis. This team blends focus, collaboration, and creativity to fulfill our mission in creating a transformative tool that makes work more streamlined and fulfilling for those who power the ad tech industry.

Customer experience is at the forefront of this team’s work—and also includes market research, cross-departmental stakeholder collaboration, user testing, communicating feature requests to engineers and designers, monitoring impact of new feature rollouts, measuring returns on product investments, and more. Together, they leverage their diverse industry experience and talent to brainstorm new ideas, iterate on old ones, and create the best possible product for our customers.

WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

    • Propose the what for product and feature areas within the Platform, supported by a well-developed why case; identify which problems are worth solving and shape the solution space.  With a focus on identity graphs and identity spine, audiences, and measurement.

    • Own feature specification for Platform-level capabilities, defining requirements that account for cross-system complexity, downstream application impacts, and operational and technical considerations across the full Basis ecosystem.

    • Drive hands-on validation of the most complex or ambiguous feature proposals, improving feature definition through POC testing, data analysis, and direct engineering engagement, and set the standard for how this work gets done.

    • Drive engineering alignment on the most technically complex features and platform decisions, challenging assumptions, resolving trade-offs, and ensuring development capacity is allocated against the right priorities.

    • Identify and evaluate opportunities with external partners or other internal product teams, deciding what is worth building and on what terms, and own the delivery of those enhancements end-to-end.

    • Establish monitoring for the effectiveness of identity and audience related features , including match rates, identity stability

    • Providing clarity to other teams on the roadmap and our plans.

    • Creating artifacts to describe our complex ecosystem of campaign and customer data to ensure clear communication across leadership, product, design, and engineering while building a re-usable knowledge base.

    • Working with QA continuously to enhance the type and coverage of Platform validation.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

    • 5+ years of product management experience in ad tech, identity, or martech platform-focused products

    • Strong technical understanding of identity and addressability signals, including MAIDs, cookies, and common industry identity frameworks (e.g., UID2)

    • Expertise in identity resolution including matching strategies, coverage/accuracy tradeoffs, and measurement impact

    • Takes full responsibility and measures themselves in terms of the success of the product.

    • Experience writing detailed product and technical specifications.

    • Capable of working with engineers about technical design tradeoffs including platforms, frameworks, scalability, and performance

    • Experience with entire development cycle or projects and doing so in a fast-paced workplace.

    • Resourceful, self-reliant, and does not monopolize the resources of the existing product team.

    • Strong knowledge and experience with Relational Databases and SQL.

    • Passionate about problem solving and engaging the team to arrive at a solution.
