A day in the life:
You will own how Power Digital shows up in person, from major industry moments like Shoptalk, eTail West, Cannes, and NRF to intimate dinners and branded experiences in priority markets. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will translate business priorities into an event strategy that builds brand presence, creates meaningful relationships, and drives measurable impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move from big-picture concepting to sponsorships, budgets, guest strategy, executive preparation, vendors, run-of-show, swag, and flawless on-site execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the strategy and end-to-end execution of Power Digital’s tentpole event presence, partnering with the VP of Marketing and CMO to define the objective, audience, activation concept, investment, and success plan for each event.
- Build a year-round portfolio of Power-hosted experiences - including executive dinners, client and prospect gatherings, community events, and creative micro-events in priority markets such as New York, Austin, and Los Angeles - designed to deepen relationships and expand Power’s footprint.
- Manage event investments and operations from end to end, including sponsorship evaluation and negotiation, budgets, venues, vendors, production, invitations, attendee experience, travel and logistics, gifting and swag, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up; prepare Power leaders to represent the brand effectively through briefing materials, speaking support, schedules, and on-site coordination.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team and broader marketing and sales stakeholders to connect events to priority audiences, accounts, partners, campaigns, and commercial goals, while keeping the event experience cohesive and focused.
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize event planning, research, personalization, operational workflows, and post-event analysis
- Build repeatable playbooks, timelines, measurement frameworks, and post-event recaps so learnings compound across the event portfolio and inform future investment decisions.
- Other applicable or related duties as assigned.
Role Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience owning B2B events, experiential marketing, field marketing, or a closely related function, with direct responsibility for complex in-person programs.
- A track record of taking events from strategy through on-site execution, including budgets, sponsorships, vendors, production, executive participation, and post-event measurement.
- Strong knowledge of the marketing, advertising, commerce, technology, or adjacent ecosystem, with an understanding of how brands can stand out at crowded industry events.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; you can manage multiple events, deadlines, budgets, vendors, and stakeholders without losing the details.
- Strong creative judgment and a willingness to test unconventional ideas when they can create a more memorable, differentiated experience.
- Clear, confident communication and strong executive presence, with the ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate externally, and prepare senior leaders for high-visibility moments.
- High ownership and reliability, with the flexibility to travel regularly and be hands-on before, during, and after events.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Event performance against agreed objectives, including qualified meetings, priority-account engagement, and event-sourced or influenced pipeline where applicable.
- Quality and quantity of attendance and engagement from priority accounts, prospects, clients, partners, and community members.
- Performance against approved event budgets and sponsorship investment targets.
- On-time, on-brand execution of the annual event calendar with minimal operational issues.
- Post-event performance and learning, including follow-up actions, stakeholder feedback, and whether each event achieved its intended business and audience outcomes.
Most Important Things (MITs)
- Build and continuously refine Power Digital’s annual event and experiential strategy across tentpole events and Power-hosted experiences.
- Create distinctive activations that give Power a reason to be remembered, not simply another brand in the room.
- Own every critical detail from concept and budget through production, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Create a repeatable micro-event engine that strengthens community and relationships in priority markets.
- Equip Power leaders and cross-functional teams to show up prepared, coordinated, and aligned around the purpose of every event.
