Your new role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP Sales Europe to lead and grow our sales efforts in the European region, specifically within our home market (DACH region). This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished sales leader to contribute to the growth of a fast-growing company and make a significant impact.
Reporting to the SVP Global Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, managing the sales pipeline, and leading and developing the European sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor the European sales team to ensure the achievement of individual and team revenue targets
- Foster a positive and high-performance culture within the sales team
- Identify and acquire new enterprise clients from diverse verticals in the European market
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting and collaboration with internal resources
- Develop, review, and execute territory plans to meet business goals
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from account planning and targeted prospecting to contract negotiation and closing deals
- Engage with senior executives in a consultative manner to demonstrate value, develop business cases, build ROI models, and drive Digital Transformation conversations
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and customer meetings
- Coordinate responses to RFPs/RFIs
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including BDRs, Presales support, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Leadership
- Utilize CRM effectively to track sales cycles and engagement
- Represent Cognigy at industry trade fairs and events
Requirements
About you
Requirements:
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the Contact Center or Conversational AI space
- Experience in the Contact Center industry is essential
- Experience leading and managing successful sales teams, comfortable assuming a Player-Coach role
- Strong hunter mentality with a passion for winning individually and as a team, and a keen interest in joining a dynamic company in a high-growth phase
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles with all management levels, particularly SVP/C-Level
- Proficient in driving sales cycles independently while leveraging internal resources
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, thriving in a remote work environment
- Comfortable utilizing partner channels to support the sales process
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence in order to coach and develop the sales team
- Thrives in a start-up environment, willing to go the extra mile to achieve objectives
- German language skills are essential
