Usage Analyst

Job Summary

The Usage Analyst is a key member of Loyal’s Customer Success team in ensuring customers are getting the most usage out of Loyal’s AI-driven solutions. In this role, the Usage Analyst will be responsible for defining and owning custom reporting metrics for Loyal customers across all products. The Usage Analyst will utilize analytical skills and passion for analyzing data to identify key trends, insights, and red flags. A successful Usage Analyst will bring together data analytics with the growing and exciting areas of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Reporting to the Manager, Customer Insights, the Usage Analyst must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail skills, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Establishes reporting metrics across all of Loyal’s existing and future products.
  • Manages the creation and maintenance of customer usage reports. 
  • Works cross-functionally with internal and customer stakeholders to pull custom reports as needed for case studies, ROI models, business cases, annual reviews, etc. 
  • Analyzes data against KPIs to find actionable insights, trends, and red flags for our customers.
  • Runs complex queries in Loyal’s databases to pull, sort, and filter data.
  • Creates reports and dashboards in Loyal’s data visualization tool (utilizing other tools such as Google Data Studio, Power BI, etc.)
  • Automates tasks/processes to streamline monthly reporting efforts.
  • Provides customer feedback to Loyal’s Product and Design teams on reporting functionality within the platform. 

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (i.e., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, Database Report Writer, or related role is required.
  • Experience working in a Relational Database is required.
  • Proficiency with SQL (joins, window functions, CTEs) and knowledge of database structures, query languages, and relationships between entities is required.
  • Experience with Python (API requests, pandas, etc.) is required.
  • Experience building automated dashboards and data visualizations using tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with Google Workspace (formerly known as Google Apps or G Suite) is required. Experience utilizing tools such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc. is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (i.e., VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with manipulating and analyzing data to solve business problems and recommend decisions is required.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities for multiple clients is required.
  • Experience working in or with the Healthcare industry and familiarity with Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
  • Experience working within a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company is preferred.
  • Experience working within a high growth and/or ambiguous environment, with proven experience to be dynamic is preferred.
