Unreal Engine Developer, Fortnite Creative

About the role

Voldex is hiring a programmer to work on our BRAND NEW Fortnite team. Our game, Bed Wars Klombos is already a top performing title on the platform!

This is a full-time positions where you will have the opportunity to partner closely with our highly-skilled team of designers, artists, data analysts and more.

While this is an engineering role, we believe good ideas can come from anywhere and encourage everyone to contribute their diverse perspectives to game design discussions!

What you’ll do

• Use Verse, Epic’s new programming language for Unreal, to build games in Fortnite

• Be at the forefront of learning and leveraging Verse to help grow our Fortnite games

• Work with a team of Fortnite creators, Unreal Engine developers, game designers, to improve top games on Fortnite’s creative platform

• Work closely with the Head of Fortnite to create programming processes for now and as the team scales

• Follow through with actionable insights from Head of Fortnite, Product, and Data to improve development of Fortnite games

What you bring to the team

• 2-5 years of game development experience

• Unreal Engine experience

• Experience building games

• Ability to pick up a new language quickly

• Understand player behavior and trends, and how to build enticing game loops

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Ownership mentality

Bonus points for

• Previous UGC gaming / gaming experience

• Fortnite experience

• Game jams, game modding, open source, and passion projects related to game making
