The Therapist Lead will be an experienced licensed therapist responsible for clinical supervision and management of a team of therapists, in addition to providing direct patient care. You will work closely with Equip’s Therapy Director and other Therapist Leads, Regional Therapy Managers, as well as other leaders in Clinical Programs and Clinical Care Delivery, to provide effective clinical supervision in the evidence-based treatments that Equip provides to patients. The best candidate for this position will have experience providing evidence-based treatment with a data-driven mindset in line with the treatments Equip provides, and also have strong people management skills. Above all, you are someone who is motivated by the ultimate goal of providing the highest quality evidence-based treatments for eating disorders so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery. We currently prefer candidates in the EST time zone!
Therapist Lead duties include:
Provide evidence-based family-based treatment, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders in a virtual clinic (i.e., telehealth) settingAssess and diagnose mental health conditionsServe as case manager, coordinating care across a multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, and family mentors, along with outside providersUtilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR in accordance with Equip’s policies and proceduresEngage and collaborate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetingsProvide training and supervision of family-based treatment and other evidence-based treatments to therapistsReview video recordings of therapist sessions, complete fidelity assessments, and provide feedback to therapists for quality improvementConduct audits of session notes to ensure efficient and effective documentationProvide consultation and support to therapists for risk- and safety-related issuesProactively identify issues that arise with the therapists and help develop solutions with the Therapy DirectorEvaluate therapists’ overall job performance and provide feedback and support as neededReview and approve time off requestsReview and approve requests to attend/obtain and receive reimbursement for professional developmentDevelop and support therapist job growth plansCoordinate changes in therapist job statusRequirements
Licensed mental health provider with 2+ years of experience treating eating disordersMaintain an active license to practice in the state(s) that their patients reside and be willing to become licensed in other states (paid by Equip)Data driven, with experience using data to guide clinical careStrong skills in communication and collaboration with diverse teamsExperience working on interdisciplinary teamsOrganized and results-drivenAbility to understand and balance business needs and clinical prioritiesComfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovationbonus if you have the following
Experience training, supervising, or managing therapistsPassion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access to treatment through insurance
