Technical Support Engineer

We’re looking for a talented and proactive Technical Support Engineer as a part of an agile team to work with one of our top customers – a leading European digital TV and telco provider. The outcome of your team’s work will be implemented in many countries across Europe!

The main responsibilities in this position revolve around the CPE Deployment strategy, which focuses largely on the Technical & Operational Field Trials but also includes in-Life support and service for these devices.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and then carrying out various stages of deployment (TFT, OFT, mass rollout) of CPE firmware and services
  • Testing local CPEs before field trials
  • Analyzing and solving advanced problems that other departments have reported (3rd line technical support)
  • Assisting and cooperating with other departments and closely collaborating with vendors in a high-pressure and business-critical environment


Required Skills or Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in the industry and working experience with CPE (Customer Premises Equipment)
  • Strong Networking background (IP, routing, etc.)
  • Experience with Unix systems
  • Proactivity, curiosity and strong problem-solving skills
  • Being able to perform under stressful conditions and, from time to time, after standard working hours
  • Very good English and communication skills


Nice to have:

  • Experience with WiFi, DOCSIS, SNMP, TR69
  • Knowledge of STB and DTV Middleware platforms
  • Experience in leading the projects
