Technical Program Manager

Come join Irreducible as we accelerate the ZK revolution. We’re a high-performance cryptography startup looking to hire a Technical Program Manager.

About the role:

As our first Technical Program Manager at Irreducible, you will not only drive the successful execution of our Zero Knowledge Proof Acceleration projects but be able to shape and build the TPM function from scratch. Because of our small size, you’ll have a direct impact on shaping the future of the company.

You will work closely with our co-founders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. This role requires the ability to navigate complex technical challenges in a rapidly evolving field a hands-on approach to program management - not only identifying the problems but also actively working alongside the engineering teams to solve them.

About us:

We're a dynamic startup diving deep into crypto-focused technologies with an exciting hardware twist. Our mission is to accelerate the ZK revolution by supporting web3 networks with reliable and cost-efficient proof generation.

Mission: Scale zero-knowledge and verifiable compute

Impact: Bring truth and privacy to the Internet

Strategy: Combining cryptographic innovation with hardware-software co-design

About you:

You’re a hands-on TPM leader with a track record of making an impact in fast-paced environments. We know that you won’t have a deep understanding of our technology stack on Day 1. However, demonstrated experience working on highly technical teams in the past is a must. You are a problem solver who loves helping organizations tackle complex challenges in technical execution and strategy. If turning chaos into order and progress is your thing, we can't wait to hear from you!

What will you do:

  • Program and Project Management: Coordinate end-to-end execution of our tech projects. Ensure that the key stakeholders understand product specs, and facilitate cross-disciplinary knowledge-sharing.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks by proactively addressing issues, dependencies, and challenges.

  • Timeline and Resource Planning: Develop and maintain project timelines, resource plans, and milestones. Monitor progress and work with leadership to adjust plans as needed to meet project objectives.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders, including leadership and external partners.

Apply if you have:

  • Previous professional experience as a software engineer (either professional or academic. You should be prepared to discuss this during your interview process)

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, finance, economics, mathematics, and statistics from a rigorous academic program.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager working directly with engineering teams.

  • Deep experience with agile methodologies and tools - you should be able to go in-depth about this experience in your interview, but be flexible enough to know that a one-size fits all approach won’t work in our environment.

  • Proven experience leading projects, taking ownership, and achieving results.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to use data for decision-making.

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience working at both well-established tech companies and start-up environments.

  • Understanding of Zero Knowledge Proof concepts and cryptographic principles.

Locations supported:

We’re looking for candidates who are located between the USA East Coast and Central Europe time zones. Although we’re a globally distributed company, ensuring the leadership team works in cohesive time zones is essential to our goals. Additionally, the company plans to get together ~one week per quarter at our New York City office.

NOTE: We can not sponsor visas of any kind at this time.

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where talented individuals can thrive and grow. We value the different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that each person brings to our team. Even if you don't fit 100% of the job's necessary qualifications, we'd still love to hear from you
