Position Overview

Verra Mobility is seeking an exceptional Product Manager for the Commercial Services business unit to drive technical product strategy and execution, chart the roadmap, and manage the lifecycle of the technology and infrastructure product portfolio. As a member of the technical product team, you will partner with leaders across the product, engineering, IT, and sales teams to drive innovation and leverage the latest technologies to deliver best in class systems that achieve business objectives. The successful candidate will be passionate about technology with an ability to lead innovation and execution. In this business critical role, you will merge customer needs with technology to cast a vision for Verra Mobility’s legacy and future solutions and drive the organization toward that goal. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to manage the systems across their product life cycles, gathering requirements, scoping initiatives, and working with development and support teams to ensure high product quality while minimizing cost.

What you'll do

Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations
Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders and customers to shape the product strategy and surface and prioritize needs
Monitor business, market, and technology trends to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions
Maintain a roadmap and release plan that effectively prioritizes the delivery of features and technologies to meet customer needs while providing best in class solutions to our markets
Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements through prototyping and MVP definition
Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion product improvements, making recommendations in the form of business cases and securing business approval
Determine internal and contract/partner/external resources and skills required to deliver on the product roadmap
Partner with engineering and support teams to ensure the optimal design and delivery of solutions
Guide the product engineering team to scope, plan and deliver work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g., agile methods) and best practices (e.g., reusability)
Proactively identify and resolve blockers to achieve business objectives for the product, including technical and resourcing challenges
Ensure alignment and adherence to corporate, financial and IT standards (e.g., architecture, compliance, security)
Manage investment decision making and finances for the product, taking a return-on-investment approach to increasing the value while minimizing product costs
Define, track, and communicate relevant KPIs for the product to measure performance and contribution to business goals and strategy

Planning

Drive the success of software product lines by partnering with stakeholders, aligning on a product strategy and deliver measurable results that solve our customer problems.
Collaborate with technology team to define technology roadmap including architectural update and enhancements.
Define new product and service solutions for current customers while also planning new adjacent solutions for the business.
Utilize business cases to prioritize the roadmap
Maintain a multi quarter product roadmap

Develop / Launch

Deliver product and service releases on-time and on-budget utilizing a structured project gates process
Work with Engineering teams to identify, design and build scalable platform components that win in the market
Collaborate with program management to drive successful launches

Run the Business

Serve as the expert on our products and service
Define, track and elevate key metrics and success criteria to ensure offering success post launch

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Technology or Business Field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
Minimum 5 years working as a Product Manager for B2B, business process outsourcing, or technology company
Minimum 3 years in defining requirements, journey mapping, and prototyping based on user needs
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong business acumen required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
Proven ability to function both as an individual contributor and member of a cross-functional team
Experience driving cross functional teams across all levels and functions
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
Moderate travel required (10-30%)
