Technical Product Manager

A product manager with a difference. Someone who loves fast paced product discovery and continual release, a hands on thinker who bases decisions on data and updates the feature roadmap and prioritisation quickly based on feedback from live software.

As our second product hire, you will lead the product practices and processes end to end in one of our cross functional product development teams. This includes discovery, build, UAT and release through to how non-technical customers operate the product.

Our product manager role will suit someone who has a proven track record of building SaaS (Software as a Service) products, who has been in an engineering team of opinionated senior engineers, and can hold their own technically and commercially. You will need to determine the 'value' from every feature on the backlog, and love to make the product easy for customers to onboard and operate.

You will own

  • product management practices and tools
  • product documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • feature refinement and weekly sprint rhythms
  • data collation and decision making
  • operations features, and how non-engineers interact with the platform
  • product metrics and KPIs

Requirements

You will need to have:

  • 4+ years of professional experience working in software
  • 2+ years of product management in a fast growth tech company
  • A deep understanding of best practice product tools and process'
  • Experience working with product-led growth an advantage
  • Experience working with enterprise customers an advantage
  • Ability to take charge of your work, work autonomously and define 'done' for the team
  • Experience working in a start-up, in cross-functional teams or in early product lifecycles
  • The skills to do product discovery and talk to customers directly to bring back requirements and features.
  • A love of data, and willingness to tenaciously seek to aggregate the data and make data-led decisions
  • A willingness to conduct A/B and multi-variant testing, striving for the best user experience and conversion
  • A collaborative approach of what to build and how
  • The ability to challenge engineers with shorter/faster ways to get real feedback
  • An engineering or technical background a big plus
