Teams Phone Unified Communications Engineer

Teams Phone Unified Communications Engineer

The Teams Unified Communications (UC) Engineer is responsible migrating to Microsoft Teams Phone from an on-premise UC environment based on a pre-defined low level design.

THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT with a possibility of extending the contract for an additional 6 months.

The applicant should also have knowledge of porting telephone numbers to a cloud solution, including the form requirements and UC best practices with a background knowledge of Cisco UCM (unified communications manager).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Configuring of Microsoft Teams phone with Microsoft calling plan
Configure users and telephone numbers.
Configuring call policies, queues & auto attendants
Support the global migration to Microsoft Teams Phone
Run reports within Cisco UCM to be able to capture necessary migration data.
Provide best practices on Cisco UCM migration to MS Teams Phone
Gather necessary information for porting telephone numbers and uploading requests to the new service provider.
Exposure / understand to technologies like Azure, Microsoft Entra and Purview is a plus.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experience of deploying and configuring Microsoft Teams Phone
Knowledge of porting telephone numbers to a cloud solution, including the form requirements and UC best practices with a background knowledge of Cisco UCM (unified communications manager).
Strong product knowledge of Microsoft Teams and cloud telephony services
Knowledge of PowerShell commands for MS Teams
Microsoft Teams & Teams Phone accredited (MS 700,720 or 740)
Deploy and configuration experience of AudioCodes SBC for Direct Routing for MS Teams
Deploy and configure Microsoft Teams Phone user and shared devices on Poly hardware.
Skilled in configuration and maintenance of Cisco UCM (Call Manager) – approx. 5 years' experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge IP protocols, including VOIP, SIP, TLS, routing & switching (layer 2 & 3), QoS.
Working virtually with their team and major stakeholders
A 'can-do' – self-motivated individual
Eligible to work in the US (visa / work permit required)
