Talent Partner (SaaS Founder Recruiting)

As a Talent Partner you will be responsible for the full cycle sourcing and recruitment of startup executives, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Technology Officers and Chief Product Officers. The Talent Partner is responsible for finding world-class founder talent for newly launched technology startups across a variety of industries. They act as a trusted advisor to partners, offering guidance and resources on the talent acquisition process and candidate profiles. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Talent Partner ensures the successful launch of startups by securing highly qualified individuals for the founders' roles. Their expertise and strategic approach contribute to the recruitment of exceptional talent and the overall success of the startup ventures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and define ideal founder candidate profiles for newly created startups 
  • Conduct thorough research on the industry, competitive landscape, and partner dynamics related to the project to ensure a solid understanding of the opportunity
  • Develop sourcing and recruitment marketing strategies, including creating job descriptions and social media posts for candidate outreach
  • Build a pipeline of talented founders by reviewing incoming applications as well as executing an outbound sourcing strategy, conduct exploratory interviews, and provide resources and education on the startup concept and venture studio model to candidates
  • Manage the entire founder interview process, including preparation for both interviewers and candidates, scheduling, and gathering feedback
  • Keep the partner informed about candidate pipelines, potential roadblocks, and overall hiring strategies through regular updates and education
  • Manage the offer and negotiation process for all founder roles
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Business Design, HR, Finance, Launch, Legal, and Go To Market teams, to ensure a seamless candidate experience and smooth onboarding transition

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years in a full cycle recruitment position, with experience recruiting executive level roles in SaaS or other technology organizations. Experience in early stage startups preferred 
  • Strong sourcing skills, with the ability to put together and execute on a sourcing strategy to attract founders with niche skill sets 
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with corporate and university stakeholders to align talent acquisition strategies with business objectives
  • Attention to detail and ability to keep candidate information organized across Workable and Monday.com
  • Strong sales and storytelling skills, enabling the quick comprehension and effective presentation of new ideas and opportunities
  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities, establishing rapport and trust quickly to engage and attract high-caliber candidates
  • Skilled in developing and implementing structured processes while maintaining flexibility to navigate through ambiguity.
  • In-depth knowledge of startups, SaaS, and venture capital operations, including team dynamics and deal structures
  • Strong negotiation skills
