SSG has doubled in size over the past two years and with that growth our Business Analysis team has evolved. This full-time remote role will be focused on facilitating client-facing meetings and solicitating requirements using excellent organizational and communication skills.
We’re looking for someone who is excited about supporting the Business Analysis team’s strategies aligned with organizational business goals. As the Systems Analyst, you will work directly with clients on data requests and ad hoc reports. Your primary responsibilities in this role will include capturing and analyzing business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs. In this role you will also:
Translate business requirements into data models and system requirements
Propose alternate workflows that could optimize or simplify an existing process
Configure IT systems using technical skills to meet stakeholder needs
Create and maintain documentation to support the data migration / interface (ex: field mappings, validations, gaps, etc.)
Analyze data to discover gaps and data quality issues, and data structure issues
Identify scope boundaries and share timely communication
Communicate directly with both service providers and vendors to convey systems specifications and timelines
Analyze business requirements related to data submission and exchange for specified healthcare data
Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot, resolve existing integration and application support
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for implementation and development teams
Support Development and Quality Assurance teams/tasks as needed

Experience with data standards, webservices, and APIs pertaining to electronic healthcare transactions such as HIPAA, HL7, XML, JSON, FHIR
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server
ETL/SQL development, including tuning queries with complex business logic
Experience in data migrations using business use cases to migrate from a legacy database schema to a new application’s schema and identify gaps in data sources and recommend resolutions
Identify and address data quality and integration issues
Contribute to IT projects, configuring and maintaining IT systems, including requirements definition, project coordination, system configuration, and User Acceptance Testing using tools like JIRA and Confluence
4 or more years of experience working to implement and support IT systems
Computer science degree or a solid CS foundation achieved via other means
Technical background, inclination, acumen with data migration tools and processes for transferring data between different systems
Knowledge of and participation in the entire System Development Life Cycle
Analytical and problem-solving skills
