Sr Manager, FP&A, Creative Arts & Services - PlayStation Studios
PlayStation Studios Finance team is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A who is passionate about driving efficiency and influencing business decisions for optimal financial results. You will be part of the Central PlayStation Studios Finance group, reporting to the Director of FP&A.
This role is a critical finance leadership role that will involve partnering with PlayStation Studios leadership and budget holders to drive impactful FP&A insights and improvement initiatives, bring a value perspective to the equation, and deliver budgets and overheads, forecasts, financial reporting, and strategic/ad-hoc cost-savings opportunities.

This is a North America based role (Hybrid or remote) reporting to PlayStation Studios' FP&A Director who is based out of San Mateo, CA US.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for Creative Arts, Malaysia Studio and Localization teams.
- Develop strong relationships with business partners by understanding organizational priorities and drive operational initiatives to support those priorities and influence business outcomes that align with the short term and long-term strategy of the business.
- Play a key leadership role in monitoring and analyzing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Propose business operational improvements to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness.
- Identify leading indicators of over/under spend and share with business partners who can drive timely corrective actions.
- Drive executive level presentation materials that inform senior leaders of variance root causes, mitigation strategies and required business decisions.
- Perform sensitivity, scenario and what-if analyses as well as analyzing the financial impact of changes in business
- Manage, inspire, develop, and retain a team of financial professionals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required - CPA is preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years experience working in FP&A with involvement in management reporting and budgeting/forecasting.
- Strategic thinker, highly analytical, creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business.
- Minimum 5 years of People management.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel (pivots, sumifs, vlookups etc).
- Be versatile, working with large volumes of data.
- Ability to quickly assimilate new processes and technologies.
- Personal time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Strong communication skills (both speaking and listening).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experienced in SAP, Oracle or other accounting packages.
- Collaborative worker in cross functional/regional teams.
Desirable:
- Prior work experience in Game Industry or Media & Entertainment.
- Exposure to OLAP planning applications such as Planning Analytics.
- Previous experience in report building with Cognos Analytics or a similar Business Intelligence tool (e.g. SAP BW, Business Objects).
- MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance preferred.
