Job Description

We are seeking a Product Manager to join the Experian Automotive product and data team.  Your role will be critical to support revenue generation through data innovation for our broad range of automotive data solutions that power OEMs, Lenders, dealers, and aftermarket channels.  You will play a critical role in defining and executing data roadmaps, including new data innovation to drive success of our overall product strategy.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about working with data, specifically in the auto industry. They should be able to clearly communicate with people at all levels ranging from development staff all the way up to senior management. We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a high sense of urgency and good follow-through capabilities. They require the ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment, with excellent time management and organization skills. We are looking for a team player and positive influencer, this role requires many interactions cross-functionally with the ability to provide clear direction to our development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define data product roadmap
  • Participate in Agile stand ups and ceremonies
  • Facilitate data research requests
  • Define and oversee analytical studies of existing and new data sources
  • Serve as data subject matter expert
  • Facilitate the acquisition of new data sources into existing data mart and warehouses
  • Cross reference data sources for overlap
  • Train internal employees on data availability and proper data uses
  • Conduct waterfall analysis of contribution of sources to warehouse


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of automotive experience and industry knowledge required, including business analysis and/or product management.
  • Familiarity with automotive data sources including but not limited to DMV sourced title and registration data, vehicle sales records, geographic data, vehicle service records, accident, damage, odometer and condition reports.
  • Familiarity with Aftermarket related data and products, including Auto Care Association ACES
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in full product development lifecycle in an agile environment and ability to write requirements for development and shepherd project through completion.
  • Experience in project/product launch and running pilots.
  • Experienced in all aspects of business and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in creating concept flows, uses cases, functional modeling.
  • Strongly empathetic with varying customer types and how our products can satisfy their needs.
  • Willing to work within a team, handle feedback, and creatively engage and debate with colleagues.
  • Highly accountable, with a feeling of responsibility for every deliverable that the team provides.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above.  Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education.  This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
