Essential Functions:

As a member of Terakeet's data discipline, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing business intelligence solutions to support our OAO service delivery. Building from our operational data, you’ll work closely with department leaders to help define data needs and develop reports to improve business processes. 

As a Sr Business Intelligence Analyst, you will guide projects through all stages of the business intelligence cycle: 

  1. Understanding the business objective, 
  2. Collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements, 
  3. Acquiring and cleaning data from the appropriate database, warehouse, or API,
  4. Designing and developing reports and/or dashboards (code and visualization), 
  5. Deploying and scheduling automated and/or self-service solutions, and
  6. Completing accurate and timely documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own BI projects involving cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Architect scalable business intelligence solutions and processes.
  • Build, operate, and maintain data and dashboard solutions.
  • Document data definitions, key metrics, and sample reports to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting across the company.
  • Perform vetting, requirements gathering, and implementation assistance in rolling out new data and dashboard solutions.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or comparable experience in a quantitative field.
  • Proven leadership of reporting projects from requirements to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of information management and data visualization principles.
  • 5+ years experience working with data exploration/visualization tools like Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc. 
  • 5+ years experience using analytic SQL, working with traditional relational databases and/or distributed systems (Hadoop / Hive, Spark, MapReduce or equivalent).
  • 3+ years experience working with warehousing systems (Snowflake, Delta Lake, or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to gather and exchange data across teams.
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Process-oriented with great documentation skills.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Experience with Sigma and Tableau, which are the tools we use.
  • Experience with Snowflake, which is our data warehousing solution.
  • Experience with Postgres, which is our web applications’ database system. 
  • Experience white-labeling and integrating dashboards into web applications.
  • Experience with online marketing data, especially search landscape data.
  • Additional experience in an analytical field such as economics, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $133,000. *This salary range is based off of the market pay for all of the United States; Terakeet applies a multiplier to this range based upon the specific geographic location of a job candidate*
