We’re spearheading a new approach to building and designing products that means our value to the user compounds with each additional app that we deliver. Description
  • You’ll join the founding and experienced Engineering team of an exciting new data/no-code startup, with funding in place, and validated customer demand.
  • You will have the opportunity to set up core end-to-end data services, building on a combination of internal models and external services. This will support both rapid experimentation and production integration with Software Engineering, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence services.
  • You’ll work on expanding and developing our product alongside our Platform Software Engineering team by building out middleware, internal APIs and have a hand in making decisions about our development practices.
  • You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to identify and develop optimal cloud solutions.
  • You will ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • You’ll identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • You will be working with financial and accounting data from source through to the myriad applications of the data.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in software engineering, with experience building out complex data services along with the infrastructure they require.
  • Experience with data oriented software development, including knowledge of modern development practices.
  • Experience in deploying production-standard code (including Python and SQL on cloud).
  • Experience with Cloud services (e.g. GCP - Apache, Beam, Vertex, Spanner, event-driven architectures, pub-sub).
  • Experience with some of the following DevOps tools: BQ, pubsub, k8s, heroku or similar and terraform.
  • Experience with managing, versioning and deploying production ML models.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices.
  • Experience in integrating applications and transferring data.
  • Experience in effectively bridging communications between Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams.
  • Experience being part of a high-growth startup or tech company.
  • Recognised by your colleagues as being excellent at your job and someone that people want to work with.
  • Curious and passionate about your work.
  • Clear communication (in English) and ability to work well with others in a distributed team.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Typescript.
  • Interest or experience in Data Engineering (ETL, Fivetran, Hightouch, Snowflake).
  • Experience with other cloud-native languages such as Go or Rust

Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £80k p.a. + option package.
  • Holidays: 23 days p.a. + the days between Christmas & New Year + Public Holidays.
  • Location: Remote, but based in UK/European time zone.
