Join the HackerOne family to champion a safer internet! As a Software Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our engineering force, driving projects that matter and guiding our infrastructure towards new heights of reliability and performance.

We're the backbone of HackerOne's operations, supporting our business, platform, and people. Our mandate is to ensure the seamless performance of all HackerOne's digital offerings, from Bug Bounty to VPN services, and beyond. We're also the custodians of various internal tools, ensuring they run like clockwork.

We're a team that values continuous learning and security consciousness, always pooling our knowledge and striving for engineering excellence. Our main partners are the Product Engineering-, Security-, Data-, Compliance-, and IT teams.

You work cross-functionally within your squad and within our company, earning buy-in from stakeholders, with a service mentality. You seek leadership responsibilities, identify and spearhead new initiatives, and make systematic improvements to technical weaknesses you find in your squad’s codebase.

• In your first week, you'll get your bearings, familiarize yourself with our processes, and make your first code contribution.

• By the end of the first month, you'll have bonded with fellow engineers, gained a solid grasp of our systems, and started to suggest enhancements.

• Two months in, you'll be fully integrated into our team, leading significant projects, and connecting with the wider HackerOne organization.

• After three months, your technical prowess will be recognized, you'll have built trust within the Engineering team, and you'll be sharing your insights at our knowledge-sharing events.

• From there, the path you carve is yours to define. Engage in Hack Week, tackle a cross-team challenge, and let your innovative spirit shine.

• Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Python OR Rust experience

• Javascript experience

• CI/CD Tools knowledge (Gitlab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar) 

• PostgreSQL experience

• InfoSec Best Practices

• GraphQL + React

• GitLab, Sentry, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Terraform

• Containerization knowledge & experience (Docker, Kubernetes) 

• Cloud and on-prem platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, VMWare, K8S)
