Role Summary

The Content Team at BiggerPockets is responsible for driving the content production factory across our multiple podcasts, YouTube channels, online blog, social media and community channels, educational courses, in-person and virtual events, and book publishing business. We are looking for a data-driven search engine optimization (SEO) leader to create and steer the SEO strategy at BiggerPockets.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the holistic SEO strategy at BiggerPockets with a cross-functional team including backlinking, internal linking, overall site architecture, on-page SEO, technical SEO, and more to achieve our brand objectives and improve website traffic
• Develop and implement a winning keyword ranking plan in order for BiggerPockets to own the SERP on keywords we not only invented but also general keywords we should own as a brand
• Analyze and audit the website content, structure, and performance to not only identify key issues but also to execute an improvement plan
• Monitor website traffic, rankings, and other analytics for performance analytics and identify opportunities to further scale our SEO strategy using SEO tools like SEMRush, Google Analytics, and more
• Collaborate across teams with marketing leads and business General Managers to integrate SEO across the business and relentlessly champions SEO best practices to optimize our team’s cohesive campaigns
• Dive into any SEO issues, incidents, or technical work as they occur and rally around a process and action

About You

• 7+ years of experience in SEO embedded at a business or SEO agency
• A leader in the SEO space who can champion best practices clearly and decisively share plans, progress, and a scorecard for multiple stakeholders review
• Proven experience in SEO tooling (SEMRush, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, etc.), using analytics to drive business decisions, and clear tracking for SEO progress against success metrics
• Expertise in technical, content, link building, off-page, and mobile SEO strategy and execution with a small team
• In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, various search engine algorithms, digital marketing trends, and real estate-related
• An authority in SEO, content marketing, and web development practices with an outstanding grasp of emerging trends in SEO, content consumption, and personalization
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively

Compensation

• The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 based on experience
• 15% yearly bonus based on company performance.
