Senior UI/UX Designer

Job Purpose

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, your focus is on making our platform more human, effective and fun. You'll also help drive a big rebranding effort as we expand our product offerings beyond legal forms. As a key contributor to our 30-person team, you will have an outsized impact and be able to see your contribution from day one. 

About the company

Since 2015, LegalTemplates has helped hundreds of thousands of people save millions in dollars in legal fees through our automated legal forms.  Fast forward to 2023, and we're setting out to ambitiously reimagine what online legal services can be.  We're not sitting around trying to achieve product/market fit and burning VC funding while expecting everyone to work ridiculous hours for low probability of future reward. We're profitable, organized, experienced, and in growth mode as we target a multi-billion dollar industry. 

Our platform will modernize the entire legal experience for small business owners, landlords and individuals.  From starting a business, to renting out a home, to getting married, our company will be there to help make the process affordable, compliant, and fast. 

Responsibilities

• Bring a keen eye to bringing our brand into our product through visual design.
• Collaborate with the team to develop sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. 
• Work with external design agencies to augment the company's design practice.  
• Assist in evolving the brand and visual application to all aspects of the company (Marketing, Landing Pages, etc)
• Continually keep yourself updated with the latest changes to industry standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience at a design agency or internet company.
• Strong UI and UX, with more of an emphasis on UX.
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, Figma OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer. 
• Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
• Understand UX design best practices, including mobile-first and responsive design.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
