Senior Swift/Backend Developer (Financial Applications)

*Duration*: 6+ month contract

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Swift Developer with 3-7 years of experience in the Swift programming language to join our dynamic BI, Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge financial applications for the iOS platform that support our clients' strategic objectives in financial forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strategic solutions to complex business challenges, ideally with previous experience in a consulting environment.

This role involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs, and designing and implementing bespoke financial planning strategies to drive organizational success.

*\*\*Key Responsibilities:\*\**-
* Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using Swift.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Utilize your deep understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
* Integrate with backend services to make sure we are delivering a great mobile user experience that is super-fast for end users.
* Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
* Leverage your deep experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, CoreData, CoreAnimation, etc.
* Optionally lead and mentor junior developers in the Swift programming language and best practices
* Design and implement APIs, including both RPC and REST, with specific experience in Thrift and GraphQL servers
* Extensive use of GIT and other version control systems.
* Work with Object-Relational Mappers, and experience with relational DBMS, preferably MySQL, but also SQL Server, Oracle, etc.

*Required qualifications and skills*
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
* 3-7 years of experience in developing iOS apps using Swift.
* A robust portfolio of released applications on the App Store.
* Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, CoreData, CoreAnimation, etc.
* Knowledge of Apple's design principles and application interface guidelines.
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
* Experience with performance and memory tuning tools
* Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
* Proficiency in Hack is preferred, with an acceptance of PHP experience as well.

*Preferred qualifications and skills*
* Experience in financial forecasting or developing financial applications.-
* Understanding of financial planning tools and data modeling (e.g., Anaplan)-
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*Education*
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
