What you can expect from joining

  • Having a real voice & ownership - we’re a small, early-stage team, and when you join, you’ll be working across the whole system and making calls on how it should evolve

  • Contributing outside of code - could be helping us with some compliance deep dives to helping someone with an urgent issue; early stages can be a little less defined

We’re hiring someone who

  • Is primarily working within GMT +/- 2

  • Prioritises the user above all else - from protecting their data to their load times

  • Has experience working with APIs and handling their various return states

  • Has experience with testing frameworks and knows the importance of automated testing

  • Has experience working with React

  • Has a strong understanding of TypeScript, or a strong understanding of Javascript with a willingness to learn TypeScript

  • Has a solid understanding of both state and lifecycle of components, especially with regard to functional components and hooks

  • Is product-focused and confident with CSS and responsive layouts

  • Leans more towards over-communicating with the team than under-communicating

  • Is excited to push our team & company to be better - both within engineering and otherwise

  • Knows when to ship and when to re-evaluate - we take our role in our client's financial wellness seriously and pride ourselves on executing fast

Nice to haves

  • Has experience with schema validation libraries such as Zod

  • Experience with SSR frameworks such as Remix or Next.js

  • Experience with Node.js

  • Has experience working with Tailwind

  • Has experience building frontend SDKs/plugins

What’s required?

We don’t consider this set in stone - don’t count yourself out if you don’t fit this or other sections exactly; it’s more a guide than a rule. You:

  • Have ~5+ years of experience building frontend JavaScript/TypeScript systems, with at least 3 years in React. Are comfortable working in CSS and implementing responsive designs

  • Have a degree in CS (or equivelant), graduated from a boot camp or taught yourself

  • Come from a background in startups, scale-ups, and established companies in the industry

  • Excel in teams are comfortable working with systems and tech stacks you don’t necessarily have experience with, and care more about problem-solving than specific tools.

  • You’re excited to help shape the future of financial wellness.
