We are looking for passionate, skilled, and experienced software engineers to join Wherobots’ dynamic team in building the geospatial cloud database of the future, its cloud platform, and control plane. You will play an instrumental role in designing and developing all the features and capabilities our customers need to unlock the value of Wherobots Cloud.
As a full-stack and/or frontend software engineer, you will build and expand on the foundation of our web application, develop high-quality reusable UI components, and develop new features and experiences.
We are 100% cloud-native, and build our product using modern and reliable tools and technologies. Our API is powered by a Python/FastAPI service, and our frontend is a TypeScript/Next.js/React.js application.

Design and implement delightful web experiences to bring the power of our geospatial cloud database and control plane to our users’ fingertips
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, identify technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software
Optimize performance and reliability of our web application through continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in frontend technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes
Strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience in frontend software development, with a focus on building scalable, modular, and maintainable web application codebases
Proficiency in TypeScript, and strong experience working with React.js
Solid understanding of web technologies and protocols, HTTP-based REST & GraphQL APIs
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a hybrid or distributed team environment
Nice to have:
Experience with building Python web services
Familiarity with geospatial technologies and databases
Wherobots offers competitive compensation, equity, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is $150k-$250k per year.
Although we aim to establish a primary engineering presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, we provide flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, seniority, skills, and experience of the candidate.
