Senior Software Engineer Analytics

Build and support self-serve tools for data exploration and analysis. Create and maintain data pipelines that enrich the data lake, data warehouse and drive critical business reports. Ensure data pipelines are robust and fault tolerant in order to have accurate data delivered in a timely manner. Build and maintain data models used by data consumers. Encourage software engineering best practices on the Analytics Engineering team. Coordinate and support data requests. Scale existing software system to meet the extraordinary application demand. Work in a cross-functional team to ensure data quality for all data consumers. Develop testing framework for data products. Build relationships with data consumers in order to ensure data quality across the organization. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Lead new initiatives from conception to delivery to bring new features to the Analytics Platform. Work with leadership to identify opportunities that drive business value. Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting and optimization of data solutions to improve system performance and stability. Stay current with industry trends and technologies and find ways to incorporate them into the Analytics Platform. Be a mentor and resource for colleagues. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $139,464 - $191,500 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5 years of professional experience as Application developer, software developer or any occupation/position/job title involving analytics software engineering. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as Application developer, software developer or any occupation/position/job title involving analytics software engineering. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience performing analytic software engineering (including planning, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, testing and maintaining software systems or applications); 3 years of professional experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts; 2 years of professional experience with SQL, including optimizing queries against large data sets on a petabyte scale; 2 years of professional experience with Python 3.x; 2 years of professional experience using big data technologies including Spark, Databricks EMR, Snowflake, Hive, Hudi, Delta, or Hadoop; and 2 years of professional experience writing ETL data workflows.
