Senior Quality Engineer (Accessibility Testing)

This is a 6 month 1099 contract with possible extension. You must live in and be eligible to work in the United States.

We're looking for a skilled Accessibility Tester to join our team to help our client up to date with accessibility compliance. Words that describe you: independent, perceptive, adaptable, highly organized, passionate, and strategic. You’re highly articulate with excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills. Self-motivation is certainly not a problem for you.

What You’ll Do...

  • Be the primary Accessibility Tester on a large team of Testers
  • Perform manual and automated web/mobile accessibility testing
  • Provide written and verbal detailed guidance on how to repair web accessibility barriers
  • Conduct smoke/regression testing and communicate results to the dev team.
  • Present audit findings to client and be able to answer questions related to audit findings and repair techniques
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest WCAG & Section 508 standards

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manual web/mobile testing experience.
  • 4+ years of experience for accessibility testing.
  • Extensive knowledge of web accessibility standards ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508, WAI-ARIA, PDF/UA
  • Experience in various A11y tools - JAWS, NVDA, FireBug, Color Contrast Analyzer, Voice Over, WAVE, Axe, Talk Back, Zoom Text.
  • Experience with creating test strategies, plans and test execution for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with Charles Proxy or Postman
  • Experience with TestRail
  • Thorough understanding of QA processes in an agile/scrum development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail, including ability to interface effectively with external customers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause.
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams.
