About the Role
Icario continues to innovate in building our cloud platform powered by AWS that delivers the right message to the right person at the right time, enabling people to take action and improve their health and wellbeing.
Do you have an innate desire to understand how technologies work and finding ways to implement and improve them? If so, we have an opportunity with your name written all over it! We are seeking an exceptional Sr. QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about delivering quality software and mentoring fellow QA engineers. We currently work with frameworks and technologies such as React, DeQue axe, Postman, JSON, Github, JIRA, and Playwright while continuously evaluating new tools to increase efficiency and quality of the platform. This position will report directly to our Software Engineer Manager.
For positions offering fully remote flexibility, please keep in mind all Icario employees must live within the United States full time. All employee work conducted for Icario must be performed within the United States.

- Effectively collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure the QA department can deliver high quality platforms to our clients
- Mentor talented software quality analysts and engineers creating an effective and efficient test automation process that serves all stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, and processes in the department to improve quality of the platform, and customer and patient satisfaction
- Participate in the refinement of requirements and the test automation design for technology solutions

What We'll Love About You

- Degree in a Computer Science field preferred, extensive demonstrated relevant experience will also be considered
- 6+ years of experience testing (manual and automated)
- Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks for React, Angular, and cloud applications
- Desire to define and own overall QA strategy
- A test automation engineering mindset for building complex and robust automation frameworks for consumption across multiple teams and test layers (i.e., Unit, Integration, UI, API, End-to-End)
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles / languages (i.e. Javascript, Java, etc.)
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools (ArgoCD, Gitbhub), principles and best practices
- Fluent in driving continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, and processes in the department
- Exceptional SQL skills and the ability to establish and maintain clean data to be utilized for release testing
- Energized by a modern approach to software delivery and platform development (UI-centric, API- first approach)
- Experience designing, building and supporting test cases using test management tools
- Experience working in public cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Comfortable and experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment
- Experience with bug tracking and task management software (i.e. Jira)
- Desire to solve tough problems by delivering quality software at scale
- Knowledge of health care data security requirements including HIPAA and HITRUST is a plus
- Experience monitoring QA metrics and communicating trends with product stakeholders
- Comfortable communicating QA strategy to software engineering
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Experience with product development preferred
- Excellent listening skills; self-directed individual
- Demonstrated mentoring of fellow teammates on quality standards
- Quick study with an intrinsic commitment to continuous learning
