The successful jobholder will be responsible for the Cost Control /Project Controls function on our Fleet Solid Support (FSS Project)
The key duties will include but are not limited to:
- Support the bid process utilising knowledge of Project Cost Controls, Work Breakdown Structure, reporting requirements etc.
- Facilitate the inclusion of Production team for operational input into Bids.
- To develop an understanding of all budgets and contractual requirements of each project
- Oversee planning and scheduling of each project is completed in conjunction with Production input.
- To provide strategic support to the Senior Management and the Bid and Project teams
- To initiate and undertake accounting entries in respect of overheads/misc. costs and jobbing/insurance etc.
- Monitor and provide oversight of subcontracts for cost and scheduling.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other company departments, external agencies and customer representatives
- Overall line management of Planning & Cost Control team, providing coaching and mentoring with a view to succession planning.
- To manage the care and growth of the team in accordance with Company procedures, with reference to time, performance, behaviours and quality. Utilising the full suite of HR Policies as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business or another relevant subject
- Knowledge of cost control and project planning is essential
- Experience of Primavera P6 would be advantageous but not essential
- Track record of working within a technical project environment
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Effective problem solver
