Job Description 

You will lead a Product team supporting products solving problems for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Our mission is to enable our sales channels to help SMBs succeed using software that solves various merchant service problems. This includes understanding and articulating key challenges SMBs face specific to various markets or merchant types to inform our product strategy and enable merchant success. You will be responsible for helping select and launch products, operationalizing processes, measuring product adoption and constantly improving user experience. You will work closely with operations, marketing, designers, sales, and support to launch, support, and improve the ecosystem of SMBs products that delight customers and deliver revenue. Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the Group Product Manager to help define the product strategy and the larger roadmap for direct to merchant software solutions, embedded software solutions for existing merchants, and embedded software solutions for ISVs to resell.  
  • Execute yourself and through your team on a buy, build partner strategy for our US payments market for value-added software solutions to achieve key  
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer and the competitive landscape to identify market and product opportunities. 
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities. 
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. 
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples. 
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition. 
  • Ability to support the Group Product Manager develop strong business plans, cost/benefit analysis, and action plans that can deliver value to our small to medium size merchants, and in turn help achieve revenue targets. 
  • Works with marketing and sales enablement to develop Go-to-Market strategies and positioning. 
  • In addition to launching products, you are highly motivated to measure product adoption metrics or other key business metrics that can help increase revenue and/or reduce cost. 
  • Align with technical product owners and other stakeholders to prioritize the backlog of features to achieve the overarching strategy and roadmap. 
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure product success and glean new insights. 
  • Understand, articulate, and capture customer and market problems and then translate them into market requirements for future product roadmap delivery.  
  • Create and utilize requirements documents, business plans, and launch plans for your products. 
  • Identify and develop key business development relationships needed to make your products successful in their respective verticals. 
  • Generate business cases for product enhancements. 
  • Coaches and supports the growth and development of product people  
  • Works as a tie-breaking decision maker, where the product team cannot get consensus then the Senior Product manager will weigh up all inputs and make the decision 
  • Responsible for developing consumer and channel communication strategies for new product launch. 
  • Responsible for producing business statistics among which are price points, product mix sales history, and competition for product introduction. 

Location:   Position can be remote and sit anywhere within the domestic US except for Hawaii and Canada

Average pay for this position is between $120,000 - $150,000 annually 



Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or sales engineering. 
  • Prior experience leading and coaching other product individuals 
  • Experience in payments technology or SaaS software is highly desired. 
  • Experience in helping support, sell, or go to market involvement of a POS (Point of Sale) systems 
  • Direct experience with Agile software development methodologies. 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make decisions. 
  • Team player who brings a "can do" attitude to work every day. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; MBA is a plus. 
  • Operational and financial astuteness is a plus
