Great Expectations' mission is to revolutionize the speed and integrity of data collaboration. Our software platform, Great Expectations is the leading open source tool for data testing, documentation, and profiling. Data teams all over the world use Great Expectations to instrument and understand their data and machine learning pipelines.
At Great Expectations, keeping a closely integrated Product, Design and Engineering organization is a core part of our culture. While some team members specialize in writing code and others in using customer insights to solve customer pain points and others in designing compelling UI and UX or developing specs and requirements, everyone is here to ensure we build the right product. Everyone must have deep understanding and empathy for the customer, and a sense of product ownership. As a Product Manager, you will build a close collaborative peer relationship with Product Engineers and Designers.
We are looking for someone who will:
Become a go-to person within the team for understanding our users’ needs and wants by analyzing usage data, interviewing users and studying market landscape and trends for your products
Build and maintain the roadmap for an area of the product, making a case for features and prioritizing them based on their impact on the KPIs and other factors
Develop specs and requirements for features, synthesizing information from our open source community, customer success organization and product engineering team
Effectively partner with UX designers and product engineers to ship features
Use hard data, experience, and anecdotal evidence to plan action to improve metrics or achieve other product goals
Implement product led-learning to find the customer oxygen to feed the product fire
Be user centric
Quantitative, where possible
Observe and validate
Gather as much relevant data as possible
Be passionate to create simple, loveable solutions
Quickly demonstrate customer value, minimize the “time to wow”
Find the sticky spots, good (repeated use) and bad (abandonment)
