Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure. This individual will have a background in Dev Ops concepts.

Remote role. Must be local to the DC Metro area.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure network architectures.
• Ensure the integration of new technologies into existing network structures.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Implement and optimize routing protocols and VLANs.
• Collaborate with the security team to integrate security measures into the network design.
• Monitor network security, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
• Optimize network performance for high availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline and 12 years' experience or Master's degree and 10 years' experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of subject matter experience deploying WAN/LAN, Routing, Switching, Optimization, and extensive exposure with Cloud Service Providers.
• Experience designing mission critical LAN/WAN/CSP infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
• Strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
• Proven experience with managing and using DevOps concepts.
• CCNP Certification required. Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
