Job Description

Role Purpose:

This role is a critical member of the Finance System Strategy Group and will work with colleagues in the Global Finance and Technology organizations, playing a critical role deploying our finance data strategy as well as data migrations for our SAP S/4 Implementation. This role with align with several verticals to gather data migration requirements and ensure data validations are completed in a timely manner through cutover, and will focus heavily on the code block design and future processes related to Profit Centers, Business Areas, Cost Centers, GL accounts, and Internal Orders.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic thinking based on subject matter expertise (SME) for next generation ERP Finance Solutions data design and migration.
  • Interface with vertical workstreams, the S/4 Core Team, System Integrators (SI) and IT to capture & analyze business processes, workflows, policies, tables, objects, master data elements, related to the current ECC solution, to translate RTR, O2C, or P2P needs into the design of SAP S/4 solutions.
  • Translate data governance and stewardship policies and processes to functional colleagues and clearly communicate the value and benefits it brings to downstream processes.
  • Participate in workshops and sessions around data migration design and validation, serving as a SPOC during data dry runs and validations.
  • Build stakeholder consensus and ensure everyone is on the same page, in agreement, and can understand the solution being proposed.
  • Understand NBCU business needs and requirements and maintain good relations, however, also serving as a change agent for the SAP S/4 transformation.
  • Provide operational support seeking opportunities as a SME within your pillar for areas of data stewardship process improvements and automation.
  • Ensure data quality is reviewed and KPIs are meeting agreed upon standards.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Information Systems and a minimum of 5 years of work experience with SAP (R2R)
  • Demonstrated experience in master data governance/stewardship related to Business Partner, Vendor, Customer
  • Very strong understanding of different data conversion methods such as LTMC, LSMW, etc
  • Comfortable with the concepts of custom Z tables and fields
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in parallel; ability to successfully work in a matrixed environment

Desired Characteristics:

  • Media industry experience is preferred
