The Knowledge Society (TKS) is a global human accelerator focused on developing young people (ages 13-18) to impact billions. In TKS, students learn about solving problems using emerging technologies, develop foundational mindsets, and build real-world skills, while being part of a global community of like-minded people.
Our vision is to help create the next generation of unicorn people - people who impact billions. In 2020, TKS was recognized by The World Economic Forum as a "School of the Future" and was also featured in Forbes, BBC, Fast Company etc..
We currently have 2,500+ students and alumni from over 200 cities globally. Our alumni have started venture-backed companies, performed cutting-edge research, presented at the world's largest conferences, and are creating solutions to tackle important problems like maternal mortality, disease, and energy.
You’re not marketing the next fad, eCommerce solution, or marketplace app - you'll be helping future leaders access world-class coaching and mentoring, impacting the course of young people's lives, and making positive change.
With your help, we will be able to change the education industry for the better by creating global awareness about TKS' mission, vision, and program delivery model — helping us communicate our 'school of the future' model to new global audiences and convert prospects into students. Ultimately the goal here is to popularize that new Education models exists and work.
You’ll be getting in on the ground-level. With big expansion plans for 2024 and beyond, we're gaining momentum. Despite our huge impact to-date, we're still a lean team - join us as we begin to scale on our journey to become the leader in education. Your role will grow as TKS expands.
Location: Remote within Canada, preferably Calgary, AB (as the majority of our Growth team is based there).
Target Start Date: November 15, 2023
Generate 12,000 submitted applications for our virtual program next year
Generate 400 submitted applications per city in four different cities
Transform TKS into a world-class brand that attracts the most ambitious students from around the world
More specifically, your performance will be measured on two areas:
1 - Applications and Growth
2 - Team Management
Setting growth goals and strategies in each market, setting and tracking KPIs for each individual team member and channel
Improve our CAC and CPL efficiency
Project manage/oversee each team member's responsibilities for lead and application generation in areas like schools and youth organizations, events, social media marketing, SEO, and conversion optimization.
Own all paid initiatives, including ads on Tiktok, Google ecosystem, Instagram, Snapchat, affiliate marketing, paid newsletters and sponsorship
Set up dashboards and tracking for applications and paid initiatives
Manage budgeting, reporting and team management in partnership with our Director, Growth
Project management of all team tasks on Asana, Google Suite, etc…
Ensure communications between the program, operations, partnerships and marketing teams are smooth
Anticipate team hiring needs and assisting with the recruitment and hiring/onboarding and platform access process
You have experience managing 6- to 7-figure budgets — and more importantly, you can speak to results, efficiencies, and mistakes you’ve learned from.
You have experience leading teams (our Marketing team is likely to grow to 5-8+ next year). You’ve been a player/coach before — you can jump in where needed to ensure stuff gets done and nothing gets dropped.
Have a background in a marketing related field. Experience with performance marketing and/or growth marketing preferred. ROAS and CAC are part of your regular vocabulary — better yet, your performance has been evaluated on these KPIs in past roles.
You follow marketing trends and regularly get jazzed about new ideas and techniques. You regularly conduct small experiments to validate ideas, you see this as one of your favourite parts of the job.
You have a deep passion for changing the education system: You have your own reasons for creating this change, and the ambition to want to scale it.
You’re obsessed with storytelling: You understand how powerful narratives are to change human behavior.
You have high standards: We're building a world-class brand and cannot settle for mediocrity especially when we share things that are public facing.
You enjoy strategizing and building solutions, but you’d rather not be the one to execute on them
You can’t speak to the impact you’ve made or if past decisions were effective
You seek approval or prefer consensus over healthy friction
We're a remote-first team of ~30 full-time staff, based in Canada and the US
Collaboration and building relationships are important to us, and we conduct regular team and company-wide off-sites to get to know each other better. We just returned from Phoenix, Arizona! ☀️
