Senior IT Security Analyst

Pay Range: $82,942 – 134,860 annually

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

As NFM’s Senior IT Security Analyst, you will monitor, research, and analyze security systems for unauthorized activity. Responsible for review, analysis, and disposition of alerts across multiple systems, correlating data across multiple sources, and escalating suspicious and/or malicious activity to senior analysts and engineers. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in one of the following states: NE, IA, MO, KS or TX.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Be the Expert: Follow procedures to analyze, triage, contain, and eradicate malicious activity
• Unravel: Investigate and document daily events and alerts for potentially unauthorized activity and follow incident response procedures
• Collaborate: Guide the development of processes and procedures to improve incident response times, accurate analysis of incidents
• Support: Serve as an escalation point for suspected incidents and provide support for event investigation and response
• Play your Part: Document all activities and lessons learned in relation to reported incidents and actions taken to remediate

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, related degree, or equivalent relevant work experience
• 8 years of information security experience, including 3+ years with SIEM, IPS/IDS, Log management and vulnerability scanning technologies.
• Certifications preferred - CISSP, GCIH, or other security-focused certification
• Investigative and analytical problem-solving skills required – very familiar with Windows, Linux, networking principles, cloud-based solutions, endpoint protection, Microsoft security products and services
• Able to effectively manage workload in a fast-paced environment
• Experience performing incident triage and response activities
• Experience working with Security Operations Center environments
• Experience working as a team lead and training and mentoring teammates
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check
