WisdomTree’s Senior Investment Management Paralegal is on the Fund Legal team and reports to the General Counsel. The Investment Management Paralegal is responsible for providing legal support with respect to WisdomTree’s U.S. investment management business focused on the WisdomTree Trust, including managing the ETFs’ registration statement filings. Experience in the Investment Company Act of 1940 (the “1940 Act”) is required.
The ideal candidate will work standard business hours (Eastern Time Zone) and primarily operate remotely, but should be available to come to the office as needed.
Success in this role would be achieved by:
Provide support to the Fund Legal team managing the firm’s U.S. ETFs Prepare, coordinate, oversee and/or review fund registration statements and related exhibits, prospectus supplements, periodic reports and other regulatory reports, including coordinating with external counsel and service providersAssist the Fund Legal team on ETF launches and special projects, including managing project timelinesAssist with drafting and finalizing amendments to service provider fund agreements, including coordinating signatures Promote the Legal Team’s positive culture and develop a close working rapport with other WisdomTree departments, service providers and third partiesSupport the Fund Legal team in tracking and monitoring new laws, regulations and industry developmentsPrepare and review various corporate governance filingsExperience and required skill set:
The candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s Degree Working knowledge of 1940 Act fund and investment adviser regulations Produce high-quality work with minimal supervisionStrong project management, organizational and writing skills Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team settingAbility to interact with personnel from all levels of the firm and with the Board of TrusteesAbility to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentHighly motivated, very detail oriented and able to work independentlyComfortable interacting with business professionals and service providers, including in a remote working environment primarily using Microsoft TeamsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with online management platforms Entrepreneurial spirit undaunted by the unpredictable, the unfamiliar or the unstructuredDesire to increase scope of work and responsibility as needs arise and experience allows, and openness to learn on the jobSuccessfully complete special projects and other assignments as required
