Senior Financial Analyst, External Reporting

POINT Biopharma Global Inc. is a globally focused radiopharmaceutical company building a platform for the clinical development and commercialization of radioligands that fight cancer. POINT aims to transform precision oncology by combining a portfolio of targeted radioligand assets, a seasoned management team, an industry-leading pipeline, in-house manufacturing capabilities, and secured supply for medical isotopes including actinium-225 and lutetium-177. POINT’s active clinical trials include FRONTIER, a phase 1 trial for PNT2004, a pan-cancer program targeting fibroblast activation protein-α (FAP-α), and SPLASH, the phase 3 trial for PNT2002 for people with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) after second-line hormonal treatment.

Location of work

The position will be working remotely with the anticipation of travel for team and client meetings. Our business requirements are to work to accommodate Eastern Time Zone. To work in synergy, it is preferred that our applicants can work Eastern Time Zone to accommodate team and client meetings.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst (“SFA”) develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial reporting and control. The SFA performs technical analysis to report on financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes financial results for external financial reporting and ad hoc analysis. Performs accounting standard research (under U.S. GAAP), as required, and interprets the guidance for appropriate accounting treatment. This role will also assist in the preparation of journal entries, preparing ad hoc reports and analysis as well as helping maintain several internal databases and systems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for preparing the quarterly and annual Financial Statements and MD&A as well as filing them with the SEC
  • Assisting in quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Responsible for performing and documenting SOX controls for all relevant financial processes and assisting in the SOX compliance audit
  • Responsible the maintenance and population of the contract management system while also using the system to generate reports and perform financial reporting
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the mechanics of all backend tools, databases, processes and systems and document SOX control compliance in all areas
  • Perform accounting standard research for non-routine transactions and analyze the reporting options as well as prepare memorandums
  • Maintain a log of future accounting standard changes (under U.S. GAAP) to ensure compliance

 

  • Responsible for managing the long-term incentive plan administration system (stock options, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in accounting or finance
  • 4 - 6 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and/or related functions
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with U.S. GAAP preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite, E*TRADE and/or Workiva a benefit
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Travel to the United States may be required on occasion
