Senior DevOps Engineer

Broadlume is looking for a well-rounded Senior DevOps Engineer with a history of building, deploying, and monitoring production environments. On the job, you will take ownership of the core infrastructure for multiple applications and work closely with the engineering team to deliver features in a quick and reliable fashion. You’ll be welcomed as a key collaborator on our remote-first engineering team, and have the opportunity to shape the architecture and culture of Broadlume’s web services and operations practices.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate on user-facing features, as we believe that building products alongside other engineers is the best road to ensuring developer happiness and productivity.

**This is a full time, remote position**

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Modernize and standardize infrastructure & CI/CD toolsets
• Setting up tools and required infrastructure
• Proactively monitor, correct, and report on infrastructure metrics
• Consider the organization’s entire DevOps / SRE infrastructure when making changes and improvements
• Assist in developing new operational policies and methodologies
• Follow established policies & procedures for task execution
• Build stable, scalable infrastructure cloud foundations for the development team
• Work within engineering organization to define best practices
• Mentor team members
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
• Participate in DevOps on-call rotation

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE

• 10+ years of DevOps experience
• You are an expert in Linux, Docker, AWS, GCP, Azure
• You are an expert in Configuration Management tools such as Git, Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation
• You are passionate about monitoring tools such as Datadog, Nagios
• You know how to continuously integrate tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab, CircleCI
• You have the instinct to leave things better than you found them
• You believe in creating stable, scalable platforms
• You love creative problem-solving for developers in some form (open source, automation, etc)

• You are familiar with a flexible agile software development practice and SDLC
• You are familiar with Infrastructure-As-Code such as CloudFormation, Terraform
• You are experienced in containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS, Kubernetes

• You have solid knowledge with Python, Bash or PowerShell
