Responsibilities

1. Lead deployment of new Kafka platforms across clients.

2. Implement access control with LDAP + RBAC and enhance authentication with Kerberos/OIDC + RBAC.

3. Automate platform deployment processes, optimizing for efficiency and reliability.

4. Strengthen platform security through comprehensive security hardening measures.

5. Implement robust monitoring solutions and optimize monitoring across different environments.

6. Develop and implement automation for Confluent Cloud integration.

7. Manage self-managed Kafka components for efficiency and scalability.

8. Provide expert support for generic services related to Kafka operations.

Qualification

• At Least 4+ years of experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Kafka operations and administration.

• Strong background in networking and Linux systems.

• Linux system administration is plus

• Experience with platform deployment automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.

• Proficiency in implementing security measures such as LDAP, RBAC, Kerberos, and OIDC.

• Demonstrated expertise in platform monitoring and performance optimization.

• Good to have experience with Confluent Cloud.

• Good understanding of Disaster Recovery and HA Architecture

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

• Familiarity with cloud environments is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
