Summary of Role:
The Senior Career Consultant/Executive Coach will lead the delivery of high-impact coaching, career development support, and leadership training programs for a major government healthcare organization. This position involves overseeing and providing executive coaching, career consulting services, assessment administration, and custom course development to enhance the agency's workforce capabilities and drive organizational transformation.
Important note: This is a full-time position contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of executive coaching programs for senior agency leadersOversee career consulting services, including one-on-one consultations and group workshopsManage the administration of leadership assessments and provide detailed debriefsLead the development of custom leadership and management coursesCollaborate with agency stakeholders to identify and address critical skill gapsFacilitate high-level workshops, retreats, and training sessionsMentor and guide mid-level Career Consultant/Executive CoachesAnalyze coaching and training effectiveness using agency-provided evaluation tools and industry best practicesPrepare comprehensive reports on program outcomes and recommendationsEnsure all coaching and training materials are Section 508 compliantDevelop and implement competency models aligned with agency and OPM frameworksDesign and oversee succession planning and talent management strategiesIntegrate coaching initiatives with broader organizational development effortsSupport diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through leadership development programsDesign and implement organization-wide leadership development programsCreate and deliver workshops on advanced coaching techniques for internal staffDevelop strategies to build a coaching culture within the organizationContribute to business development and thought leadership through content creation, industry presentations, and identifying growth opportunities in federal sector OD and talent management.Qualifications
Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, or related field10+ years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, and career consultingICF certification (PCC or MCC level preferred)Extensive experience coaching senior executives in federal agenciesStrong knowledge of leadership competency models and assessment toolsExpertise in 360-degree feedback and other specific assessment tools (e.g., MBTI, Hogan, Strengths Deployment Inventory)Demonstrated ability to design and deliver impactful leadership training programsExperience with various coaching methodologies and career development frameworksExcellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skillsProven track record of building trusted advisor relationships with senior leadersIn-depth knowledge of federal agency operations, culture, and HR policiesThorough understanding of federal human capital frameworks and OPM's HR University resourcesKnowledge of adult learning principles and instructional designExperience with data-driven decision making and analytics in coaching and leadership development contextsAbility to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing prioritiesExperience with or willingness to obtain necessary security clearances for working with federal agenciesDeep understanding of various leadership theories and their practical applicationExperience designing and implementing talent management strategies across large organizationsProficiency in a range of coaching modalities (e.g., solutions-focused, cognitive-behavioral, narrative coaching)Expertise in learning transfer strategies to ensure sustainable behavior changeNice to Haves
