As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be engineering robust, testable and scalable code. Part of a global team, you will report to the Android Team Lead, who is an inclusive, high performing leader.

How you’ll make an impact 

• Architect your code to be efficient, reliable, maintainable and reusable

• Mentor team members and review code

• Contribute to engineering best practices, guidelines and our technical infrastructure to help enhance infrastructure and improve reliability and efficiency

• Cross-team collaboration, with product, design, and QA teams, to ensure we create great user experiences whilst also adhering to our high security and privacy standards which are underpinned by our end-to-end encryption

This is a remote role. Our preferred locations are in New Zealand and Asia Pacific Region. This role requires flexible working hours as you will collaborate with teams globally.

You are:

•  An initiative taker who is willing to go the extra mile

• Strong in CS fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms

• Experienced in Clean Architecture, and good with MVVM pattern in Android

• Proficient in Kotlin and the Android ecosystem

• Knowledgeable in Jetpack including ViewModel, LiveData and Flow which are highly desired

• Curious to learn Jetpack Compose; experience with Jetpack Compose is a bonus

• Passionate about TDD (test driven development)

• Passionate about updating yourself on the latest Android technologies

Ideally, you also hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
