About the Role:

Sardine is rapidly acquiring new customers and executing on an ambitious roadmap. As a result, we're building a world-class finance team to support the increase in growth. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop our accounting function while ensuring that we’re on a clear path to GAAP compliance and audit readiness. 

You will: 

• Audit: Assist with the company’s financial audits and help keep the team audit-ready going forward. 

• Financial Reporting: Ensure an accurate and timely month-end close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. 

• AR / Billing: Collaborate with our Billing team to ensure the accuracy of invoicing and revenue recognition and help with collections.

• AP: Own the AP function, ensuring a smooth efficient flow of vendor payments.

• FinOps: Prepare special financial reports for key stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

• 4+ years of accounting experience with high-growth startups

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Prior experience with a B2B SaaS company

• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including QuickBooks

• Public accounting audit and assurance experience or similar industry experience

• Month-end close expertise

• Ability to take projects from zero to one and see them through to completion

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to research new software and automate processes

Compensation: Base pay range of $60,000 - $85,000 + Series B equity with tremendous upside potential + Attractive benefits
