About Our Client
A Canadian leader in the competitive chemical distribution space offering a wide range of products and logistics solutions to their clients.
This is very much a hunter role, and you must have a proven track record and the ability to close deals and foster partnerships in the CASE, Construction, PVC and related industries. As the ideal candidate, you are driven to succeed by converting prospects into clients. You enjoy calling, building relationships - and most of all - you live to close each deal. Ideally, you have built a strong network from your previous experience. You bring a professional attitude and are comfortable speaking with Heads of Departments, R&D and Technical Directors.
What you’ll be doing:
- Prospecting: Consistently work on building a balanced pipeline of target prospects through traditional means across the USA
- Networking with potential business associates and attending global conferences and relevant events to build relationships, keep current with trends, and uncover opportunities that lead to sales prospects in the CASE, Construction, PVC, and related industries.
- Qualifying opportunities: Strong understanding of target market and decision-making personas will help to qualify leads.
- Value & Consultative Selling: Establish trusted relationships to effectively gain successful long-term client partnerships primarily with end users and distributors (resellers).
- Sales Process: Utilize a sophisticated and multi-step selling process with defined criteria. Balance multiple complex opportunities in parallel through the stages of typical sales process.
- Sales tools and systems: Utilize Sales tools including knowledge of CRMs and Excel. Utilize supplier UL prospector, LinkedIn and quoting tools to manage daily activities efficiently and effectively.
- Supplier Relationship: working closely with the Logistics and Quality departments to develop new supplier relationships and manage existing ones. Bringing supplier relationships to Chemsynergy would be a MAJOR bonus.
