Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to help accelerate BibliU’s growth in the US market. This is an incredible opportunity to start your career, joining a successful, fast-growing tech startup that is changing the way universities and colleges make academic content accessible to students.

Working from home with a diverse team dispersed across North America and Europe, you will identify and generate sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound prospecting activities. You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally, aligning closely with marketing and sales team members to market BibliU’s digital textbook platform to universities and colleges across the US. Your success will be measured in achieving weekly and monthly pipeline generation targets (meetings, qualified sales leads, new opportunities, etc).

What you will be doing:


  • Conduct exploratory conversations with potential customers, use your business acumen to identify how BibliU could help a business grow, and successfully position the BibliU value proposition

  • Work with an assigned account executive to collaboratively develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies

  • Conduct high volume prospecting (60-100 activities per day) to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media

  • Schedule discovery meetings for an account executive to further assess a prospect's business and potential for partnership with BibliU

  • Conduct needs qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned

  • Attend events to qualify opportunities for account executives (30% travel required)

  • Previous successful sales experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career

  • A track record of high achievement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals

  • Are naturally curious and passionate

  • A one-speed energy with a highly self-driven sense of motivation

  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis

  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively with Marketing and account executives

  • Willingness to travel for events
