Sales Administrator

Who We Are

We’re passionate about the English language, and we design software that helps writers and editors produce their very best work. Our product, PerfectIt, is the leading proofreading software for independent editors, proposal managers, medical writers, and publications teams.

We’re a profitable, 25-person company that works 100% remote across the UK and USA.

About the Role

You’ll be a dynamic and detail-orientated person, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our Sales department. Your exceptional organisational skills and ability to multitask will be key in managing administrative tasks, coordinating sales activities, and providing outstanding customer service. If you’re a motivated self-starter with a passion for the English language and a desire to contribute to the growth of a software company, we invite you to apply.

This is a full-time role based in the UK. You’ll report to the Business Administrator who works US hours. So it’s important that you are confident working independently for part of the workday.

You’ll have a wide set of core responsibilities to support our sales around the world, including:

  • Preparing quotes, invoices, and other sales-related documents
  • Problem-solving customer questions
  • Completing procurement questionnaires
  • Processing customer orders
  • Maintaining customer records
  • Admin and data entry
  • Interacting with customers through a CRM and over the phone
  • Providing administrative support to the Business Administrator, the Strategic Account Manager, and the wider team

About You

You have proven experience in an admin role. You may have worked as a business administrator, administrative assistant, executive assistant, or sales assistant. You’re independent, reliable and can work from home. You thrive on efficiency and seek more work as soon as your current to-do list is complete. You write well and you are passionate about the quality of document preparation. You may even have some professional experience that involves writing or editing text.

Requirements

  • A passion for the English language
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experiences in a sales or administrative role
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • An ability to work independently and from home
  • Good time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs
  • Highly organised
  • Detail orientated
  • Good at solving problems and conducting research to find solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CRM software, such as Close
  • Knowledge of the software industry
