The Robotics Project Coordinator role combines hands on in-field work to install and operate drone and robotic systems in solar farms as well as scaling these operations. The position blends technical knowledge, on-your-feet critical thinking, and excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Participate in and lead in-field installation of robotic systems (both planning and execution)Travel to work sites to install, operate, and maintain robotic systems or other special projects as needed to ensure project and customer successAbide by standard operating procedures for efficient and safe installation and maintenance of robotics systemsIn-field testing of new equipment and data capture methods when neededBuild and oversee team responsible for ongoing installation and maintenance of robotic systemsCreate and staff to in-field deployment scheduleProvide feedback to and manage relationships with in-field crews in order to ensure positive customer experienceAct as primary point of contact for in-field crewsTrack and report on all budget items related to this workKeep up to date on industry trends surrounding roboticsDraft and publish documentation of new data capture processes and related systemsTrack project success and completion through real-time updates of spreadsheets and databasesShare regular progress reports within teamEscalate matters appropriately utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), proper channels, and critical thinkingParticipate in specialty projects or R&D missions as assigned and communicated by team and company leadershipRequired Qualifications
Current FAA Part 107 certificateExcellent written and verbal communicationTeam playerLove learning new things fast and staying up on technologyStrong time management skills and a knack for adapting to changing priorities and project needsAbility to travel on short notice and for up to 75% of timeBachelor’s degree 1-3 years of work experience in solar electrical, drone, robotics, or other industrial settingsHands on experience using tools to install and repair mechanical and electrical systemsMust be primarily located in the contiguous USMust be authorized to work in the USPreferred Qualifications
Experience with thermographyExperience using project management systems (Airtable, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheets, etc.) Experience as trainer, team lead, and/or subcontractor supervisorExperience with desktop GIS applications such as QGIS or ArcGISFamiliarity with SQL or other data querying languagePrior startup experience
