The Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Risk Business Partner to join our globally connected Compliance and Risk Team. In this exciting role, you will have the flexibility to work remotely from the Philippines and collaborate effectively with our team in Australia using state-of-the-art tools.

In this newly created role, you will champion and support our Enterprise Risk frameworks by fostering a risk-conscious culture throughout the organization. Partnering with the business to perform adequate risk management controls, the role will support the business to engage, conduct and facilitate activities within the business in accordance with our enterprise risk framework.

As our Risk Business Partner, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Assisting the Senior Risk Analyst and the Senior Risk Assurance Analyst with all 2nd line enterprise risk activities
• Partnering with the business to assist different teams in all 1st line enterprise risk activities.
• Collaborate with internal or external auditors on assigned audits. Provide required information to achieve the required audit outcomes. Act with integrity and transparency when interacting on the assigned audits
• Creating and implementing a progress reporting and other reporting that can be communicated to a variety of stakeholders.
• Recommending updates to procedures and frameworks to improve controls that lead to improved practices and ensure alignment to Pepperstone and enterprise risk strategy
• Driving proactive improvements to the business in ways that will improve risk management standards while still supporting commercial business growth
• Assisting with the development and delivery of enterprise risk training
• Participating in Pepperstone’s Business Process Risk Issue (BPRI) process to understand control failures, then drive the work needed to improve the controls environment

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a regulated organization in the financial services industry or "Big 4".
• Knowledge of enterprise risk and control better practice standards (examples: ISO 31000, ISO 22301)
• Understanding of risk management frameworks and lifecycles (identification, analysis, evaluation, treatments, monitoring, reporting & ongoing improvement)
• Experience with implementation and testing of controls
• Well-developed documentation and policy writing skills
• Ability to work independently and confidently make decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-critical environment
• Ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders that are geographically distributed
