Are you passionate about building quality software? Do you have hands-on technical expertise in quality assurance processes and test automation tools? Are you motivated by opportunities to make direct business impacts?  TrustEngine is looking for a dynamic Quality Engineering Manager to lead a team of quality engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services. In this role, you will be responsible for both managerial and hands-on technical activities, combining leadership and expertise in quality engineering methodologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, software development, support, security & compliance, to drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes and outcomes.



Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of quality engineers, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities, performance, and career growth.
  • Actively participate in quality engineering activities, including test planning, test execution, and defect management. Apply your technical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, guide the team, and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  • Champion the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability. Collaborate with the team to develop automated test scripts and integrate them into the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Define quality standards, metrics, and processes to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools. Drive initiatives to streamline and optimize these processes, aiming for efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining high standards.
  • Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as product management, development, support, and security & compliance.
  • Identify potential risks related to product quality and develop strategies to mitigate them. Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions.



Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in quality assurance and engineering, including 2+ years in a tech lead or managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress,  JUnit, Cucumber, etc. Cypress is strongly preferred). Demonstrated proficiency in creating robust and maintainable automated test scripts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive alignment toward quality goals.
  • Can define and track meaningful quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of the testing process and the overall product quality. Experience developing quality dashboards, generating reports, and presenting insights to stakeholders. 
  • Strong understanding of risk-based testing. Can assess the criticality and impact of different features or functionalities, prioritize test efforts accordingly, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Understand and have practical experience working within Agile and DevOps methodologies. Familiar with concepts like user stories, sprints, and continuous integration/deployment. Demonstrated ability to align QA processes with Agile practices, promote collaboration, and ensure quality throughout rapid development cycles.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in non-functional areas such as security testing, performance testing, and data quality. Understand common vulnerabilities. Have experience conducting assessments of system scalability, reliability, security, and compliance.
  • Experience with JIRA queries, dashboards, customization, and overall administration
  • Experience AIO Tests
  • Existing domain knowledge or experience in the mortgage industry and technologies
