Replicant is an ecosystem for crafting conversations, with in-house deep-learning algorithms we’ve built from scratch that allow our Thinking Machines™ to listen, think, and interact with the world. We have also built a suite of tools for conversation design and development, monitoring, testing, continuous learning, and constant improvement.
That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Quality Engineer with strong automation and communication skills to efficiently test and build quality checks for our customer-facing Thinking Machines™. You will have the opportunity to improve our processes where necessary, implement clean communication between various internal and external systems, explore Conversational UIs, and help level up our growing team.
What You’ll Do
Solving interesting challenges as not all of the problems we encounter have frameworks or well-defined solutionsOwnership; we know that we don’t know everything and want your help to be part of the solutionsDevelop mocks in Typescript for client APIsContribute to the in-house automation solutions to test Thinking Machines™Review and improve datasets for NLU modelsWork collaboratively with developers, product managers, and customers to ensure our products are the best they can beWork as an integrated member of a fully remote, cross-functional agile teamManually review recorded calls to identify issues and make suggestions for improvementCreate test cases in Google Spreadsheet and manually test tickets as part of the agile teamCreate bug tickets within JIRA and retest fixesProvide technical mentorship within the engineering organization and be ready to assist when necessaryParticipate in regular team meetings and offer support where needed.Participate in initiatives to drive quality within the organizationPerform code reviews and provide feedback, maintaining a high bar for clean and efficient code.Track time and effort on ongoing tasks and provide regular updatesWhat You'll Bring
B.S. or greater in Computer Science or a related field (math, physics, engineering) and strong CS fundamentalsProven track record with 3+ years of experience building automation frameworks in Javascript or TypescriptProficiency with code versioning systems such as GitHub or GitLabExperience with cloud hosting providers such as AWS and GCPPrior experience working on a production SaaS application - we are primarily a Typescript shop, if you have a strong eye for clean, modular code then you will fit right inThrive in high-paced interactive team environmentsStrong team player - we work in small product teams that work very closely together and are constantly collaborating in order to move as fast as possibleA strong sense of ownership and customer empathy — we work very closely with our internal teams and external customers.
