Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.

Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance required

Location/Flexibility: Remote with preference to someone local to the DC Metro area. 

Responsibilities: 

 Quality Standards and Processes:

• Design and Implement Standards: Establish and implement quality standards, processes, and best practices for software development.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and enhance quality procedures to align with industry trends and organizational goals.
• Inspection and Reporting:
• Inspect and Monitor Quality: Oversee all operations affecting quality, including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Identify Issues: Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and address quality gaps.
• Team Supervision and Guidance:
• Supervise QA Team: Lead and guide QA engineers, testers, and analysts.
• Training and Coaching: Train team members on quality procedures and provide ongoing coaching.
• Product Quality Assurance:
• Process Adherence: Ensure adherence to quality control processes during development.
• Final Output Evaluation: Assure the reliability and consistency of software products by checking processes and final output.
• Customer Satisfaction:
• Customer Requirements: Understand and appraise customer requirements related to quality.
• Satisfaction Assurance: Ensure that software meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Quality Reports: Create and maintain quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with DoD and Federal standards and regulations.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• External Liaison: Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with development, release, database, hosting, and other teams.
• Risk Management:
• Proactive Solutions: Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.
• Immediate Action: Report malfunctions to PMO for immediate action.
• Leadership and Reliability:
• Organizational Goals: Contribute to the long-term success of the program by ensuring high-quality operations.

Qualifications: 

• BA/BS with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Security + or the ability to obtain within 6 months of starting.
• Prior experience improving quality of the software development lifecycle through testing and release on a DoD government project.
• Experience auditing and improving processes within a software development project.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
