QA Testing Engineer

We are looking for our next Quality Assurance Engineer to join our 100% remote team and help us scale and streamline our software development lifecyle.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and innovative individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. In this role, you will work closely with our product development team to ensure the highest quality standards for our software products. You will be responsible for both automated and manual testing, defining and executing test plans, and contributing to the overall improvement of our QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Automated Testing:
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (currently in Selenium).
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Research and Implement scriptless automation solutions to streamline the testing process.

• Pre-Release and Post-Release Testing:
• Define and execute test plans and test cases for pre-release and post-release testing.
• Conduct continuous testing throughout the development process to provide early feedback and meet quality expectations.
• Validate software performance and stability post-release.

• Feature Testing:
• Collaborate with the product development team to understand feature requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute test cases to validate new features.
• Provide feedback on feature design and implementation from a QA perspective.

• Security Testing:
• Incorporate security testing into the software development lifecycle to detect and address vulnerabilities early.
• Ensure the application meets security standards and is protected against potential threats.

• Performance Testing:
• Conduct performance testing, including load and stress testing, to ensure the application performs well under various conditions.

• 2+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience in a SaaS environment
• Small business/startup experience is a bonus
• QMS/Compliance experience is another bonus!

• Base Compensation Range: CA$65K - $75K
